WELCOME TO FASHIONSHOP!
There is an idea that art should be less commercial than fashion – we do not believe this is correct. Similar structures exist today within both genres, and it is rather the artist/designer’s choice of method and approach that govern the extent to which the results are commercial or not.
Within the fashion world there used to be an idea that clothes are not fashion if they are not saleable and worn out in society. Can they still have an artistic identity? What is good and what is bad? What is saleable but not commercial? Because how can the artist/designer earn a living if he or she cannot sell his or her creations?

Here at Fashionshop you can purchase the fashion objects from the exhibition at Arkitekturmuseet. Is that a “good” thing or a “bad” thing?
