FASHIONWALK 2009
Fashionwalk Stockholm presented a new generation of fashion creators who work in the borderlands between fashion and art. The aim of the exhibition and the walk was to bring attention to those designers and artists who don’t work with traditional collections but who rather focus on the artistic process in shape of an installation, avant-garde clothing, sculpture, video, and experiments in form.

The exhibition allowed the audience to take part of projects that dealt with questions surrounding fashion’s significance to individuals and society. The relationship between fashion and body, identity, consumption and societal development is shown from personal and analytical perspectives. We hope that this field of fashion will reach a new audience and thereby gain strength as cultural expression.
